Next Door Neighbors From Hell

Next Door Neighbors From Hell. It's us. We are them. We're moving . . . next door. From street address 118 to 112. One small problem is that there is no house next door. So we're gonna have to build it.

That truly makes us our own worst enemies. We will be keeping ourselves awake . . . first with chainsaws and chippers, then hammering, sawing, concrete trucks, contractors arriving at the butt crack of dawn . . . on and on. For at least a year. No way to escape, since it is happening right outside our windows.

We've been thinking about and working on this for a while and have the makings of a plan. Lots of details to work out of course. The only major one we still need to figure out is who gets which house after the divorce.

We started in earnest last weekend, and ratcheted it up a notch this weekend. I'm beat up and tired. A good way to die right now would be to walk up to me and say something philosophical like, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step". Lots more of these weekends coming, but all kidding aside, we're ready and excited.

So, since there won't be a lot of time to write, this will primarily be a photo blog. I think the pictures will tell the story pretty well. Let's get started, then . . .
